Chef Lara Pipia Kicks Off Excessive on Brunch at Antiques on Excessive


This previous weekend chef Lara Pipia kicked off a brand new brunch pop-up at Antiques on Excessive, known as Excessive on Brunch! The crowds arrived early and saved her busy the entire morning.

She’s working out of the The Pizza Field, Antiques’ colourful meals truck that’s parked out again.

Sunday brunch options a mixture of sandwiches, bowls, salads, donuts, an all-inclusive brunch board, plus a number of sides and a child’s menu.

On this primary go to, I managed to snag the final of the savory donuts (sure, there have been savory and candy!). The savory one featured a butter-pate filling with a tart cherry frosting, crushed pistachios, and cherries.

Then I attempted two of the breakfast sandwiches. The primary is an easy mixture of egg, havarti, and bacon on focaccia. Easy however beautiful.

And the second – and my favourite – was El Quixote: egg, manchego, Spanish chorizo, arugula, a smoky tomato jam, and a beautiful saffron citrus aioli. All of it simply got here collectively so properly.
